Fuzzy Slippers Boots
These boots are handmade from flannel for those lazy days when you want to stay in your PJs.

Book required is The Feisty Stitcher: it has lots of great sewing projects in addition to the slippers. Well worth having.

One Block Wonder
Take the basic hexagonal kaleidoscope and enhance it to create a beautiful design. You will love the unusual method of designing and creating this quilt. Space is limited so register early.

Circles, Circles, Circles
Learn how to make circles using a special ruler. Choose an appliqué method to make your quilt using circles. Come to the shop to see the fun and playful quilt samples.

Runner of the Month
Join Michael as we create a new runner for every month of the year. Simple construction of the base is enhanced each month with beautiful fusible appliqué. The first class will be for October and it is a fancy jack-o-lantern. Other months feature a reindeer, snowman, flower topiary and a silt boat. This will be a great way to decorate your home or give some away as gift

Michael’s Strip Club
Here at Michael’s Strip Club we will explore and use the great 2-½ inch strips to create some gorgeous items. We will be using many books and patterns over the course of the year. So grab your jellyrolls or start cutting your favorite fabric into 2 ½ inch strips and get ready to strip.

Fusible Collage
This class is back by popular demand. Join Michael and show your personal creativity as you create a one of a kind wall hanging. We will discuss color and shape and use some great new products to fuse the fabrics. It is always amazing what you can get from a pile of scrap fabric. The best thing is sharing your scraps with your neighbors and walking away with your personal creation.

Beaches
We will use Karen Ickier technique to create the beach scene of your dreams. If you visited the beach this summer bring a picture and use as your guide. This is a simple process to learn and a great way to enhance your free motion quilting techniques. You can bring some small embellishments to add to the detail of the quilt.

Christmas Stocking
Ever dream of the perfect stocking. One in colors that matched your décor? Then this is the class for you. Using Michael’s own pattern you can design your own stocking. We will embellish them with whatever you desire. This is simple process and anyone can complete a stocking in about an hour depending on the design. In this class you will make at least one, if not two. The sky is the limit and now is a great time to get them done before the Holiday’s start.

Redwork is hand embroidery done using red floss (some folks use blue or green). The designs are simple outlines with some details. This is a quick and easy skill to learn.

Beginning Quilting Learn to Quilt- The Basics
Make a Sampler Quilt
The secret to successful quilting is in your accuracy. Proper rotary cutting techniques and an accurate ¼” seam allowance are required for success. Learn the simple secrets to success without months of trial and error. Note: This class is also called “why are my quilt blocks different shapes and sizes?” Frustrated quilters are encouraged to attend. This is a 7-week class. You will finish 6 blocks in this class.

Learn to Quilt- Make a Sampler Quilt
See description above. This is class you need to take you through the entire quilt making process. Start with fabric selection: make 12 different blocks of increasing difficulty using Marti Mitchell templates and books: square your blocks, add the sashings and borders. End with a completed quilt top. Decide how you want it quilted and baste or send it off to a longarm machine quilter. (We have several that we using regularly) The entire process is easier that you think.

Paper Piecing
Are you curious about paper piecing or afraid to try it? Join us for this class and we will answer your questions and eliminate the fear. Once you learn this technique you will be thrilled by how sharp your points are and how they match perfectly! We will start with the basics and move on from there.

Finish That Quilt
Do you want to finish that quilt? Don’t know how to put on those borders or even what type of borders would look best? Don’t know how to put on binding? Working with Photos on Fabric
Learn how to design with photos and how to use the new vintage images available on CD. Different settings will be discussed and you will work on a project of your choice from one of the available books. The available transfer option will looked at in the first class and students will need to print out their choice of images between the 1st and 2nd class. Ink jet printer is required.
